Enyimba International has completed the signing of Abubakar Boni from Seamorriow Football Academy, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.
The versatile midfielder joins the People’s Elephant to reinforce their squad for the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
A right-footed central midfielder, Boni can operate as a number eight or in a more defensive pivot role, often occupying the central lane whether playing alone or alongside a midfield partner. His adaptability across midfield positions is expected to provide tactical flexibility for Enyimba.
The 23-year-old previously played for Kwara United before moving to Seamorriow Football Academy and has now taken the next step in his career by joining the two-time CAF Champions League winners.
Boni was included in Enyimba’s squad for their midweek clash against Nasarawa United in Lafia, but did not feature on the pitch. The soft-spoken midfielder is expected to make his official debut for Enyimba against Bayelsa United on Sunday, as the club looks to strengthen its push in the league.
