"?Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that there is only one club that could tempt him to leave the Bundesliga side in the future, and that is Real Madrid. However, even Los Blancos won't be able to prise him away just yet.
"The only club to leave Borussia Dortmund for is Real Madrid. But not now," the Gabonese star is quoted as saying by Eurosport when quizzed about his future.
"[Someday] I want to play for Real Madrid, which is one of my big goals in my career. But at the moment everything is great," Aubameyang added.
Earlier this year the 27-year-old, who is half-Spanish on his mother's side of the family, explained that he had promised his grandfather that he would make the switch to Real one day. But at the time, he said rumours of an imminent move were nonsense.
"There is no agreement but I promised my grandfather I would play there one day," Aubameyang publicly revealed in March.
"Why wouldn't I want to discover new things? As I've said several times, I'd like to play in Spain and have good weather for once in my life!"
The player's latest admission of his interest in pulling on the famous white shirt comes after a fresh batch of gossip linking him with a move to Manchester City.
Earlier in the summer Sky Sports had claimed that advanced negotiations were underway. The story was quickly rubbished by Dortmund but now the Daily Express has made similar claims. In light of the player's comments, such a move seems highly improbable.
Dortmund are also unlikely to allow yet another of their star assets go this summer without a big fight having already watched Ilkay Gundogan, Mats Hummels and Henrikh Mkhitaryan depart.
