"?Borussia Dortmund look set to steal Mario Gotze from under the noses of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the "?Express, Gotze is ready to re-sign for Dortmund after controversially leaving for rivals Bayern Munich back in 2013.
This news comes after rumours that Liverpool were looking to bolster their attacking options with the signing of the German, which would have seen him link up with former mentor Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Spurs were also believed to be looking at Gotze and reportedly made initial contact with his representatives last weekend. But the Londoners look set to miss out on the World Cup winner after it was revealed he is likely to move back to his former club Dortmund instead.
Both Liverpool and Spurs have made significant transfers since the initial reported interest in Gotze, with Sadio Mane joining the Reds and Vincent Janssen "?sealing a move to White Hart Lane. These transfers have allowed interest in Gotze to quell and left it open for the 24-year-old to head back to Dortmund without a transfer tug-of-war.
Reputable German football website Kicker are reporting that it is "highly probable" that BVB will sign Gotze, as well as another familiar face in André Schurrle.

Schurrle has reportedly agreed a deal with Dortmund to help fill the void left by Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the midfielder joined Manchester United earlier this month.
The German international had an excellent spell last season at Wolfsburg but could not help his club finish higher than eighth in the Bundesliga, thus failing to deliver European football for next season. But he could still play in Europe next season, with "?Sport Bild reporting that Dortmund have agreed a €35m fee and a five-year deal with the player.
