"?Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has agreed a new contract with Claudio Ranieri's side that will see him stay in the East Midlands for a further five years, according to an "?ESPN report.
The 29-year old was a star performer in Leicester's unbelievable title win last season, playing in every minute of their 38 league encounters, keeping an impressive 15 clean sheets.
And now Schmeichel's form has been rewarded, with the Foxes offering a bumper five-year deal to retain the talented goalkeeper.
Everton were interested in signing Schmeichel as a replacement for the departed Tim Howard, but they will have to continue their pursuit elsewhere, as the Denmark international looks set to sign the new deal.
"?The Daily Mail have reported that the contract is worth around £100k-a-week, making Schmeichel one of the highest paid goalkeepers in the Premier League.
Leicester have been desperately battling to hold on to their star players this summer, with just the one casualty as French midfielder N'Golo Kante moved to Chelsea for £33m.
However, they were boosted by Jamie Vardy's decision to stay-put, after the "?England striker snubbed Arsenal during Euro 2016.
In Musa and Vardy, @LCFC might just have the quickest pair of strikers in the history of football.
Speaking to Sky Sports about his decision to stay at the Foxes, Vardy said: "It's not been put out there that I've always said the boys that close in, the brotherhood is unbelievable.
"For me personally there's a lot of unfinished business here at Leicester and I think the club's only going one way and that's forward and that's what I wanted to be part of."
Asked whether it was a big decision to reject Arsenal, Vardy replied: "I think it wasn't that big, it was quite easy and this is where I wanted to be. I was away with England so [a move to Arsenal wasn't close]. No [I didn't speak to them.]"
