Former Borussia Dortmund Player Kevin Grosskreutz Criticises Club Over Jakub Blaszczykowski Sale

It's been said that you can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

That's certainly the case when it came to the sale of Jakub Blaszczykowski from Borussia Dortmund to Wolfsburg, with former Dortmund player Kevin Grosskreutz criticising the €5m transfer between the two German giants.

According to "?ESPN FC, via the a post on his Instagram account, Grosskreutz claims football has changed dramatically over the years: ''Football isn't what it used to be anymore. The transfer fees are simply disgusting - only success and commerce counts.''

With regards to Blaszczykowski himself, Grosskreutz was far more generous. ''I wish you all the best! Gratitude only exists from the fans. Nobody will give you a second chance if things .aren't going your way -- it is what it is nowadays

It's clear Grosskreutz's frustrations stem from his own history with Dortmund; forced to leave his boyhood club in 2015 for Galatasaray to seek regular football, the 28-year-old was only given limited chances to play under current Borussia supremo Thomas Tuchel.

In an obvious case of history repeating itself, Blaszczykowski has also not been part of Tuchel's plans since the former Mainz 05 head coach took over from now Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in 2015.

The Poland international was loaned out to Fiorentina last season in an attempt to pick up regular playing time but suffered a spate of injuries that limited him to only 15 league appearances throughout the campaign. He had greater success at Euro 2016, playing a part in helping his country reach the quarter finals.
