"?Bayern Munich star David Alaba has heaped early praise on new manager Carlo Ancelotti, highlighting the Italian's vast experience of winning, his ambition to keep winning, and his ability to get the very best out of individual players.
"He's a really cool guy. I think he can get along really well with every single player, with young players but also with big players who have been here at the team for a long time," Alaba explained to Goal.com.
"There are reasons that he's become such a successful coach," the Austrian international added.
Ancelotti has been a popular coach wherever he has been. Based on what Alaba has said so far, that is unlikely to be any different over the next three years in Bavaria.
"I think Mr Ancelotti is a coach who speaks to the players a lot, not only as a team but also with the individual player. He tries to talk to you and wants to make sure to explain to you what he wants you to do on the pitch," Alaba further commented.
The new boss arrives at a club that has won the Bundesliga title in each of the last four seasons. Continued domestic dominance remains the bare minimum for Bayern, with a return to Champions League glory the ultimate goal, one trophy that eluded Pep Guardiola in Germany.
Ancelotti has already been crowned a European champion on three occasions, twice more as a player, and is seemingly determined to add another title to his collection.
"I think the first thing I've seen in this first week I've been here is that he loves his job, 100 percent. He's very ambitious, he wants to win and we all know that he's already won a lot of titles and he has a lot of experience," Alaba said.
"He wants to share that experience with us so that we can be successful. I think he works very hard every single day in order to be successful at the end of the season."
