Niger Tornadoes head coach Abubakar Bala has said his wards will show great improvement in the area of goal scoring against top-flights Nasarawa United.

The Ikoh Allah Boys are hosts of the Solid Miners in Sunday’s top-flight matchday 12 clash at adopted ground Confluence Stadium in Lokoja.

Bala said his side have worked assiduously hard to overcome the hitches that cheated them of a well-deserved decent result at Abia Warriors.

“We will get it perfectly right against Nasarawa United on Sunday in Lokoja.

“The poor reaction that saw us lose at Abia Warriors is not part of my wards’ character.

“The players have not shown any lukewarm attitude or low spirit in their past matches except at Abia Warriors.

“Perhaps we had a bad day as we worked hard to at least leave the pitch with a point.

“I think we have been able to overcome the shortcomings as we have worked on it.

“We are stabilising in the area of goal scoring as our past matches on home ground have ended in low goal margins, except the two unanswered goals against Wikki Tourists.

“We will further improve on our goal scoring in the clash against Nasarawa United as we want to win convincingly.

“The clash is certain to be interesting. I pray that the better side (Niger Tornadoes) win,” said the former FC Lokoja coach to supersport.com.

The Minna outfit are seventh in the 20-team top-flight log on 15 points, six behind league leaders Plateau United.
