Italian side Chievo have joined the race to sign Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli, "?"?according to
reports in Italy.
Balotelli has been unable to make an impression on the pitch for Liverpool during his time with the Anfield side, and looks set the leave the club this summer with many teams reportedly interested.
Balotelli has played for the likes of Manchester City, Inter and Milan during his career, but now looks set to drop down a level in order to reboot his career. The 25-year-old has managed just one Premier League goal during his time with Liverpool, and four in all competitions during his solitary season with the Reds.

It is now believed that Chievo are in advanced talks with Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola, and Raiola and Chievo's club president, Luca Campedelli, are in talks over the striker. The pair reportedly had dinner together on Friday night to talk over a potential transfer.
Ajax and Galatasaray have also been linked with Balotelli, while small Italian sides Pescara and Crotone have also been mentioned as possible destinations for the Italian striker. While Chievo's president has reportedly spoken to Balotelli regarding a move, the player is yet to make up his mind and is taking his time to consider all of his options.
Balotelli isn't part of Jurgen Klopp's plans for Liverpool's upcoming campaign, with Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Divock Origi all set to play a part for Liverpool up front this season.
