Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas Offered to European Giants With Blues Exit Looming

Published on: 16 August 2016

"?Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been offered to European giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, "?according to the Daily Mirror.

The Spaniard has also been linked with a move to Juventus, who are looking to replace former central midfielder Paul Pogba.

Mirror Sport claims that Fabregas has been offered to Juventus, Paris St Germain, Real Madrid and Barcelona, rather than any of those clubs making an approach to sign the 29-year-old.

Barcelona remain an unlikely destination for Fabregas, as the club has just spent £45m on Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes, while Real Madrid already enjoy a wealth of options in midfield.

Fabregas' representatives have contacted people close to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to understand their interest in the Spanish midfielder, but the deal remains unlikely as the club are still looking to offload Isco and James Rodriguez.

Fabregas spent the whole of Chelsea's win over West Ham on Monday night on the bench, as new Blues boss elected to start with Nemanja Matic and N'Golo Kante as the side's two holding midfielders, while Oscar, Willian and Eden Hazard played as the three attacking midfielders behind striker Diego Costa.

Chelsea won the match thanks to Costa's late winner, after West Ham defender James Collins had initially cancelled out Eden Hazard's penalty.

Given his indifferent form last season and the signing of defensive midfielder N'Golo Kante, Fabregas' place in Chelsea's side has come under scrutiny.

And according to sources in Cobham at Chelsea's training centre, Fabregas in not expected to play a major role in Antonio Conte's team at Stamford Bridge.
