Chelsea Boss Antoine Conte Names 11-Strong Coaching Staff

"?New Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has added 11 coaches and staff members to his Stamford Bridge backroom team, with several following him from his stint as Italy boss.


Conte took official charge of the Blues following Italy's quarter final exit from Euro 2016 and in keeping with tradition, has called on a huge support team that has backed him from his time in charge of Juventus and the Azzurri.


In addition to big money signings Michy Batshuayi and N'Golo Kante, Chelsea will welcome 11 new coaching and first team staff alongside Conte, including some familiar faces returning to West London.


The "?Daily Mail reports that Steve Holland will continue in his role as assistant manager alongside new faces Angelo Alessio and younger brother Gianluca Conte.

Paolo Bertelli, Julio Tous and Chris Jones head up the fitness team with Constantino Coratti serving as assistant, but the biggest changes come with two of the club's former goalkeepers.


Henrique Hilario, who made just 39 appearances in eight years for Chelsea has been appointed goalkeeper coach alongside Gianluca Spinelli, while Carlo Cuidicini rejoins the club as an ambassador, after making more than 140 Premier League appearances in nine years.


Tiberio Ancora is the last name to Conte's extensive backroom staff who joins as his consultant personal trainer and nutritionist.


Chelsea will continue their pre-season preparations, by taking part in the American stage of the International Champions Cup, with matches scheduled against Liverpool, Real Madrid and AC Milan.


Conte has wrapped up a tour of Austria with an 8-0 thrashing of Atus Ferlach, as he continues to get his new side in shape ahead of the new Premier League season in a few weeks' time.
