Carlos Bacca Reveals Promise He's Made to Fire AC Milan Back Into Europe

Milan striker Carlos Bacca has promised he will take the club back into European football, after announcing he was to stay with the Rossoneri for the coming season last week.


Bacca has been linked with a move to West Ham for much of the summer, but played in the club's first Serie A game of the season against Torino at the weekend and "?fired a hat-trick to lead them to a 3-2 win. He scored either side of half time and once from the penalty spot on the hour to ensure Milan started the season with a win.

Speaking to "?Sky Sport Italia after the match, the Colombian revealed he had issued a promise to the club to bring them back to the big time, and that his decision was made after receiving a new offer from Milan.


He said: "When the intermediary presented the offer, I consulted with my family and decided to stay. It was the right thing for me to do. I wanted to remain because I promised I'd take Milan back into Europe."


Bacca had "?confirmed his desire to stay last week despite having the offer on the table from England, saying then: "So many things have been said. There were some teams that wanted to sign me, but in the end I have decided to stay and I am happy with my decision.

"Having the chance to play in Europe is very important for me, and that's one of the reasons I thought of leaving AC Milan for a team that played in the Champions League.


"My dream is to play in Europe with the red and black jersey. 


"Together with my family we didn't want to leave without having achieved this goal. I am an ambitious player, I didn't reach this goal last year, but I am sure that my teammates and I will do our best to qualify for the European cups."
