Carlo Ancelotti Doesn't Want to Start a Revolution at Bayern Munich After Guardiola Success

"?Carlo Ancelotti says he is ready for the challenge of succeeding Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, but will not go about starting a wholesale revolution at the club in the wake of his predecessor.

The Italian, who will seek to win his fourth Champions League success with a third different club when he officially takes the reigns at the Allianz Arena this season, says he is wary of changing too much of a good thing, after Guardiola guided the Bavarian giants to three successive Bundesliga titles during his time in charge.

"I don't want to make a revolution," he told "?ESPN FC.

"Because what this team did in the last three years with Guardiola was really good, they played really well, I don't want to change a lot. Of course I'd like to put (forward) my idea, the players have to be convinced by it. And after that try, we will try and continue this way because this is a good way, I think."

"Because we are a strong club with really good players the idea is to play good football, to attack well, to score a lot of goals, to try to avoid goals. Football is not complicated. Good football is simple," he added.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti confirmed that Bayern are not in the market for a new striker as he feels he has plenty of options in that area, after seeing the club tie up deals for central defender Mats Hummels and teenage midfield hotshot Renato Sanches.

"We are well covered in those positions. Even with Robben picking up a little injury, he'll be ready for the start of the season, so all positions are really well covered. We don't need another player, we are enough and we are competitive."

"I think to improve the team, it was important to have good central defenders and to try to get a midfielder to improve the competitiveness of the squad in midfield.

"Together, we found the right players and the right solutions. Mats Hummels, with his great experience, and Renato Sanches, with his enthusiasm, will certainly help the team to be better."
