Anthony Nwakaeme is set to take on a new role at Trabzonspor as the Turkish club looks to manage and optimise its foreign player quota, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Super Eagles forward has been offered a position on Trabzonspor’s scouting committee, a proposal he has welcomed with clear commitment to the club. Despite reported interest from a side in the United Arab Emirates, the 36-year-old has made his stance clear.
“I will do anything that benefits Trabzonspor,” Nwakaeme said. “I want to retire from football as Nwakaeme of Trabzonspor; I am not considering leaving.”
The experienced winger is expected to officially begin his new off-field role after the close of the transfer window. On the pitch, Nwakaeme has featured five times for Trabzonspor this season following his return from a long-term injury, continuing his long-standing association with the club he remains deeply loyal to.
