Agent Says Former Liverpool Target Marlos Moreno Set to Seal £8m Move to Manchester City

"?Manchester City are set to announce the signing of Marlos Moreno from Atletico Nacional for £8m by the end of this week, before sending him back out on loan to La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna for the new campaign.

The 19-year-old wonderkid had been previously reported as being a target for Liverpool, however the Colombian international is set to put pen-to-paper at the Etihad this weekend, and according to Colombian news outlet "?Futbolred, the player's agent, Eladio Tamayo, suggested that he would be travelling to Manchester on Saturday to finalise the deal: "I will travel with Marlos on Saturday to sign a contract with Manchester City."


"He will then go on loan to Deportivo La Coruna for a year. The main architect of all this is Marlos, with his discipline and commitment. I just contributed a little bit."

According to the Daily Mail, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola had announced his interest in bringing the player to England a few months previous, and is glad that the deal has been completed swiftly. The deal is set to includes incremental payments added on to the transfer fee based on performances and appearances.


The youngster has already impressed for his former side during the last campaign, scoring five goals in 26 appearances, as well as making seven appearances for Colombia already. However, the former FC Barcelona coach has suggested that he will resist from recalling the player from La Liga at any point this season, as to not blood him into the City set up too soon at such a young age.
