Ghana goalkeeper Seidu Mutawakilu says he is delighted to hear his compatriot Yaw Yeboah has joined French Ligue 1 side Lille.
Mutawakilu played alongside the highly talented Yeboah during the Africa Youth Championship in Senegal and later the FIFA U-20 world cup held in New Zealand.
Yeboah will now play under former Ivorian head coach Harve Renard in the French top flight.
The 19-year-old is originally a Manchester City player but is hoping to enhance his talent with regular football in the French league.
And Mutawakilu says it’s a delight to hear of the progress Yeboah has made.
“Yeboah is a fantastic player with an ability to change games. I am really happy to hear that he has moved to Lille,’” Mutawakilu told GHANAsoccernet.com
“I have played together with him on several occasions and I am aware of his talent.”
“I wish him all the best knowing that he will have the desired impact over there.”
Yeboah was named the most valuable player during the Africa Youth Championship held in Senegal.
