AFCON 2023: Three Super Eagles star makes CAF TSG Best XI

The Best XI for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Cote d'Ivoire 2023 has been released by the Confédération Africaine de Football ("CAF") Technical Study Group ("TSG"), Nigeriasoccernet.com can confirm.

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d'Ivoire 2023 generally considered to be the best "AFCON" ever, came to an epic conclusion on Sunday in Abidjan when hosts Cote d'Ivoire defeated Nigeria in Alassane Ouattara Stadium, capping one of the greatest comebacks ever.

From the beginning, the CAF Technical Study Group has been monitoring and analyzing the competition and its patterns.

Three names appear in the Best Xl for the new African champions, hosts Cote d'Ivoire: Ghislan Konan, Jean Michael Seri, and Franck Kessie. Kessie's goal in the championship helped the home team win.

Ola Aina, William Troost-Ekong, and Ademola Lookman are the three names of Nigeria, who got incredibly near, on the list.

Teboho Mokoena and Ronwen Williams, the goalkeepers for South Africa, heroically led their team to a third-place finish despite going into the tournament as favorites. Williams created history during the competition when he stopped four penalties in a single game.

The fourth-place team, DR Congo captain Chancel Mbemba was included as well as Yoane Wissa.
