Zambian referee to officiate Super Eagles AFCON qualifier against Egypt
Super Eagles will face Egypt

Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe will be at the centre when the Super Eagles take on the Pharaohs of Egypt in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Day 3 qualifying match at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday, 25 March by 4pm Nigerian time.

The 37 –year-old has been an international referee since 2007.

African football ruling body, CAF, also appointed Arsenio Chadreque Marengula from Mozambique as assistant referee 1, while Zambians Romeo Kasengele and Wisdom Chewe will serve as assistant referee 2 and reserve referee respectively.

CAF also named Abbasi Ssendyowa from Uganda as match commissioner for the big Group G game.

For the return leg in Alexandria on Tuesday, 29 March, which will kick off at 7 p.m. Egypt time at the Borg el Arab Stadium, veteran South African official Daniel Frazer Bennett will be at the centre.

He will be assisted by compatriots Zakhele Thusi Siwela (assistant referee 1), Peter Chauke (assistant referee 2) and Kulasande Qongqo. The match commissioner is Moroccan Said Belkhayat.

Interim coach of the Eagles, Samson Siasia and his assistants, Emmanuel Emuneke and Salisu Yusuf have been meeting with the Technical and Development Committee of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to fine tune the list of players to be called up for the two legged qualifying match for Gabon 2017 AFCON.

The list of players will be made public Thursday.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Chris Green has been appointed by CAF as match commissioner for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana’s Black Stars and the Mambas of Mozambique, scheduled for Accra on Thursday, 24 March.

Green, a ranking member of the NFF Executive Committee, will work with a Moroccan quartet of Bouchaib El Ahrach (referee), Redouane Achik (assistant referee 1), Mouhib Abdallah Filali (assistant referee 2) and Samir Guezzaz (reserve referee).

The Group H clash will start at the Accra Sports Stadium at 3.30pm Ghanaian time.

CAF has also named Nigerian officials to take charge of proceedings of the Group B Day 4 qualifier between Central Africa Republic and Madagascar, scheduled for Bangui on Monday, 28 March.

Ferdinand Anietie Udoh will be at the centre, with Abel Baba as assistant referee 1, Isah Usman as assistant referee 2 and Abdullahi Shuaibu as reserve referee.

Gaspard Kayijuka from Rwanda will be match commissioner.
