Zaidu Sanusi set for return after 10-month injury layoff

Nigeria international, Zaidu Sanusi is poised to make his long-awaited return to action, 10 months after suffering a cruciate ligament injury, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 27-year-old Nigerian left-back has been included in Porto's 26-man squad for Thursday's UEFA Europa League clash against Belgian Pro League side Anderlecht.

Sanusi's last appearance for the Portuguese outfit was in February, when he sustained the injury against CF Estrela, just 32 minutes into the game, following his return from international duty.

As part of his rehabilitation, Sanusi made two appearances for Porto's B team last month, stepping up his recovery from the injury.

Porto are in dire need of a boost, having endured a poor start to their Europa League campaign, with just four points from four games, leaving them 22nd in the overall standings.
