Young Huddersfield fan sends Aaron Mooy £5 note and heartwarming letter

Published on: 25 October 2017

Huddersfield registered a mightily impressive 2-1 victory over Manchester United at the weekend, though it would appear the scoreline wasn't the only heart-warming yarn to emerge from the match.

A young Terriers fan found a £5 note at the John Smith's Stadium and, rather than put it in his piggy bank, thought it only right that he should donate it to midfielder Aaron Mooy for his man-of-the-match performance.

The fan, a lad by the name of Adam, included the money in a hand-written letter sent to Mooy, informing the Australian international that he deserved to keep the fiver because "he played very well and scored."

Mooy himself then replied to the post directly on Twitter, saying that he'd "love to meet" up with Adam and thank him in person should the chance arise.

I would love to meet you Adam

No reply has been forthcoming as yet but scores of Huddersfield fan are now desperately trying to track down and contact Adam on Mooy's behalf.

This simply must happen and we'll endeavour to keep you posted as/if and when it does.
