Yanis Sellami signs Marseille extension through to June 2029

Olympique de Marseille have extended the contract of 19-year-old Algerian midfielder Yanis Sellami until June 2029.

The announcement was made on Friday during the international break, with the Ligue 1 club committing its long-term future to one of the most promising players in its young squad.

Sellami’s new deal reflects the confidence Marseille’s directors have in his ability and development. The midfielder has been identified as a player to watch within the club, and the extended contract gives him greater security as he continues his progress at the highest level.

The agreement also enables Marseille to protect one of its emerging talents while allowing Sellami more time to establish himself. The club has chosen to maintain its focus on youth development despite a difficult start to the season for the first team.

Marseille will soon face Troyes in the sixth round of the French championship. For that fixture, 1xbet listed odds of 3.70 for a Troyes victory, 3.70 for a draw and 1.82 for a Marseille win.
