Former Russian footballer Dmitry Bulykin has identified Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal as his leading candidate for this year’s Ballon d’Or.
Yamal, who is 19, has been selected by Bulykin as the player most deserving of the prestigious individual award.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place in London on Monday, 26 October.
Last year’s prize was won by Ousmane Dembele, the winger who plays for French club Paris St-Germain.
