WUCL: Oshoala scores and assists as Barcelona reach semifinal

Nigeria's attacking sensation, Asisat Oshoala scored and assisted a goal in Barcelona femeni's  emphatic win against Roma in the UEFA Women's Champions League on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles striker scored the Spanish Giants fourth goal as they walloped the Italian ladies by five goals to one to win 6-1 on aggregate in the second leg at Camp Nou.

Unlike the cagey affair in the first leg in Rome where Barcelona could only score once, it was a totally different ball game as they scored the first goal as early as the 11th minute through Fridolina Rolfo.

Maria Leon doubled the lead in the 33rd minute before Rolfo scored her second in the 45th minute to put Jonatan Giráldez's team in cruise control in the first half.

The second half started immediately with goals as African footballer of the year, Oshoala got on the score sheet a minute into the half to make it 4-0.

The goal was her 5th goal in the tournament this season and her 17th goal in all competitions in 2023. she played for 66 minutes.

Patri Guijarro in the 53rd minute made it 5-0 further making a comeback for the Romanians an impossible task.

Annamaria Serturini reduced the deficit five minutes later after a shot from outside the box.

Barcelona Femeni have now progressed to the last four of UWCL for the fifth consecutive time and will face either defending champions Lyon or Chelsea in the last four.
