Elvis Manu has missed Brighton & Hove Albion debut against Hull City

Would-be Ghana attacker Elvis Manu has to wait further to make his debut for English Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion as he was left out of their squad to face Hull City on Saturday.

The 22-year-old who can play on either side of the flanks and also score goals as a center forward was allowed to rest and watch his new club take on the Tigers at the Falmer Stadium.

Manager Chris Hughton revealed last week he would rest the Dordrecht-born and he kept his promise by keeping him out of his squad for the game against Hull City.

"It gives us an opportunity to work with him, really tie down if the strengths are exactly what we have seen in our recruitment processes, but at the moment he is coming into a fully fit and motivated squad. In this initial period we are finding out a lot of things about each other," Hughton had revealed about the Ghanaian.

Manu has applied for international switch at FIFA to enable him play for Ghana - country of his parent.
