Nigeria Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho has stated strongly the need for he and his teammates to fight to get the World Cup ticket, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Nigeria currently struggles and sit in 5th position with 3 points after 3 draws and a loss in four matches, making qualification to the big stage very difficult.
Iheanacho who was interviewed on the sidelines of the African Cup of Nations qualifying series by Nigerian journalist, Modo Victor spoke enthusiastically about the need for the Super Eagles to do all in their might to qualify.
"We just need to know that this thing is very serious, is very important to us. We need to win these games, we don't need to lose any game until finish that world qualifiers. We need to put our stamp, we have a strong squad to beat these countries."
The Sevilla man says it is surprising that some of these countries that are ahead of Nigeria in group standings of the World Cup qualifiers are below Nigeria in the AFCON qualifying series.
He stated that hence the team needs to go with the mindset to do everything possible to go the wins, qualify and make the country happy.
