Poland lead Benin 2-0 at half-time in the third and final group-stage match of the Women’s U20 World Cup on Friday, 11 September 2026, at the Stade Municipal de Bielsko-Bia?a.
The Polish side have turned their collective dominance into a comfortable advantage, scoring twice within five minutes before the interval.
Grzywinska opened the scoring in the 26th minute after being set up by Wyrwas. Wyrwas then added Poland’s second goal in the 31st minute, giving the home side a strong position at the break.
Benin, known as the Amazons, have struggled to retain possession under sustained pressure from Poland. They had only 34% of the ball during the first half as the Polish team controlled the match.
The Benin defence has also been tested repeatedly, with Poland registering nine shots in the opening 45 minutes.
Benin’s technical staff will need to make significant tactical changes at half-time if they are to contain Poland’s continued attacks and improve their performance in the second half.
