Nigeria U17 Women team, the Flamingoes has been drawn up in Group B for the U17 Women's World Cup, Nigeriasoccernet can report.
The draw which took place in Zürich Switzerland on Friday afternoon paired the Flamingoes in group B alongside Germany, Chile and New Zealand.
Another African team Morocco was placed in group A with the United States, Brazil and host India.
Tanzania will slug it out in Group D with Japan, Canada and France.
The opening match of the tournament will be India vs USA in Bhubaneswar on October 11. The tournament will hold from Friday 11th – Sunday 30th October in three Indian cities of Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai.
However, India hosted the FIFA U17 World Cup for the boys in 2018 and were slated to host the girls’ event two years ago, but the covid-19 pandemic aborted that, necessitating a postponement.
