With a hand on the Scudetto Osimhen shifts focus to Champions league

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen revealed that winning the league has been the club objective even though they are out of the Coppa Italia.

Napoli, after a dominant 5-1 win against Juventus I'm the league, lost to Salernitana penalties in the Round of 16 of the competition.

“The win over Juventus was a marvellous night with a fantastic atmosphere. What makes me happy is seeing the joy of the Napoli fans.” Osimhen told Kiss Kiss via Footballitalia 

With just a defeat all season long, Napoli are nine point clear of Juventus who are second on the league table but Osimhen believes his team needs to remain focus.

“The Scudetto has been our objective since the start of the season and we concentrate on one game at a time,” continued the striker.” 

The vintage performance of Napoli can also be felt in Europe as the team boost of five wins from six group games in the champions league and the Nigeria international believe Napoli is up to the task.

“The Champions League is a very prestigious tournament, we want to keep going along the right track, even if we should meet the biggest clubs in Europe, because we feel that we are ready for any challenge and know we’re up to the task,” The 24 year-old said.

Osimhen was our for over a month due to injury but has 12 goals in 14 league appearance only one in his three Champions league games.
