French coach Claude Leroy takes charge of Congo’s Under-23 team ahead of the Olympic Games qualifier against Ghana later this month.
Leroy – one of the grand old men of African football has named a provisional 33-man squad ahead of the first leg in Tamale.
The former Black Stars coach has invited 11 foreign-based players for the game with five senior team players who featured for the team at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations named in the provisional squad.
The 66-year-old will cut the squad down to 23 before they make the trip to the West African country for the first leg tie on the weekend of May 22-24.
The Congolese will start camping on Tuesday.
