Plateau United have confirmed defender Wisdom Udon’s departure after he joined Libyan Premier League club Olympic Azzawiya SC.

The move will be the first time the defender has played professionally outside Nigeria.

Udon joined Plateau United from Akwa United in 2025, having spent three years with the Promise Keepers before moving to the Jos-based club.

Plateau United announced the transfer in a statement published on their social media platforms, thanking the defender for his professionalism, commitment and contribution during his time with the team.

The club’s statement referred to the player as Wisdom Ndon.

“Plateau United Football Club wishes to announce the departure of defender Wisdom Ndon, who has decided to pursue a new opportunity, bringing his time with the Peace Boys to an end,” the club said.

“Throughout his stay in Jos, Wisdom demonstrated professionalism, dedication and commitment, conducting himself admirably both on and off the pitch.

“The club sincerely appreciates his service and contributions during his time in our colours.

“Everyone at Plateau United FC wishes Wisdom continued success and the very best as he embarks on the next chapter of his football career. Thank you, Wisdom, and best wishes for the future!”

Ndon will now continue his career in Libya with Olympic Azzawiya SC, having brought his spell with Plateau United to an end.
