Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has confessed that lifting a trophy with Nigeria would be the pinnacle of his footballing career, Nigeriasoccenet.com reports.
The Nottingham Forest star was part of the squad that narrowly missed out on Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) glory in February 2024.
Nigeria's heartbreaking 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in the final still lingers, but Aina remains driven.
"Winning a trophy with the Super Eagles would be the best thing that could happen to me as a footballer," Aina revealed while making a speech on his birthday dinner with his teammates.
Aina on the night was met with love and greetings from the team, with Taiwo Awoniyi comparing his quiet nature to that of popular Nigerian artist, Don Jazzy.
