English club Wigan Athletics has confirmed signing one time Super Eagles invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor.

The winger signed with the Latics until the end of the 2020-21 season on the winter transfer deadline days.

“We are delighted to confirm the re-signing of winger Viv Solomon-Otabor until the end of the 2020-21 season,” Wigan said in a statement on their website.

The 25-year-old initially joined League one club in a short-term deal back in September 2020 but his firm incredible form earlier in the campaign encouraged the club to extend the deal.

The former Birmingham City star is currently recovering from the three-month injury sustained in Latics’ draw with Plymouth Argyle at the DW Stadium in October.

Before sustaining the injury, Viv-Otabor featured in 11 league matches for Wigan and he contributed three assists.

The former CSKA Sofia was invited into the Super Eagles squad as a replacement for the injured Samuel Kalu for a friendly against Brazil in Singapore back in October 2019.
