West Ham United are "?reportedly set to "?table a third bid for Brentford's Scott Hogan, after already having two bids for the striker rejected, according to a report in the "?Mirror.
Hogan only cost £750k when he signed from Rochdale but is now valued at around £15m; a valuation that his club are sticking to having already turned down bids in the region of £10m for the player.
At 24-years-old, the striker took a while to receive his first full contract, but his 14 goals in 26 games this season have caught the eye of a number of clubs, with West Ham in particular.
West Ham are desperate for a striker and have been for some time, with bids for countless strikers rejected over the past year or so. Recently, the Hammers failed with a £6m bid for Jermaine Defoe, who has 11 goals so far this season.
Having targeted the likes of Michy Batshuayi, Daniel Sturridge and Alexandre Lacazette in recent windows, Slaven Bilic may feel that signing a forward from England's second-tier will be easier and looks set to pinch Hogan - who has been so good for the Bees that he has his own Goals of the Month segment for the club.
With Andy Carroll a constant injury worry, Diafra Sakho out with an injury and Andre Ayew away at AFCON, it is easy to see why Bilic feels that the Irons need striking reinforcement. In truth, even with those players present, West Ham aren't the most threatening of sides and have scored the same amount of goals as 19th-placed Swansea (23).
The Hammers looked to have solved their striking problem with the loan signing of Simeone Zaza in the summer, but after a deeply unimpressive spell with the side, the Italian looks set to head back to Juventus early to allow for a permanent move to Spanish club Valencia.
