West Ham United Women are thrilled to announce that young forward Princess Ademiluyi has inked her first professional contract with the club. This exciting development comes hot on the heels of Ademiluyi's 18th birthday, solidifying her long-term future with the Hammers, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Ademiluyi's journey with West Ham began at the tender age of 12. Nurtured through the club's Player Pathway program, she steadily climbed the ranks, culminating in a stellar performance with the U21 team during the 2022/23 season. Her impressive tally of eight goals in just 12 appearances caught the eye of the senior team management.
Fast forward to March 2023, the then-16-year-old Ademiluyi received a call-up to the first team. She made a memorable debut in the Barclays Women's Super League (WSL) against Brighton & Hove Albion, stepping off the bench to showcase her talent.
Since then, Ademiluyi has racked up 17 appearances across all competitions for the senior team, leaving no doubt about her commitment to the club. With this new contract, Ademiluyi's future is firmly anchored with West Ham United, where she'll continue to develop her skills and contribute to the team's success.
Ademiluyi is of Nigeria descent although she's eligible to play for England due to her birth, her international allegiance is still up in the air as she looks to nail down a starting belt in Westham's XI ahead of the new season.
