West Ham United are pursuing Atalanta's Ademola Lookman as part of a major squad revamp under new manager Julen Lopetegui, Nigersoccernet.com reports.
Lopetegui, appointed this week, aims to bring in seven new players, targeting two central defenders, a right-back, a midfielder, a right-footed left winger, a striker, and a third-choice goalkeeper.
Lookman, who shone in Atalanta’s Europa League final triumph with a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen, is being considered for the left wing position, according to The Mirror.
The Nigeria international has attracted attention from other top clubs, including Barcelona, posing potential competition for West Ham.
