Nigerian striker Terem Moffi has issued a stark warning to his teammates in the Super Eagles, urging them to focus on securing victories, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Nigeria in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers face Lesotho and the Benin Republic.
Moffi emphasized the importance of doing their part and waiting for the outcome of other teams in their group.
Speaking ahead of the crucial fixtures, Moffi expressed confidence in Nigeria's ability to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, saying, "We are really confident about qualifying for the World Cup.
“We have to do our part and wait for the result of the other team. So, we are really confident things will go our way.”
The Super Eagles currently trail South Africa and the Benin Republic by three points in Group C standings.
A strong performance against Lesotho and the Benin Republic could see Nigeria close the gap and improve their chances of qualifying for the tournament.
