Shooting Stars manager, Gbenga Ogunbote has claimed his side is not ready to let go of their momentum following their away win against Kwara United on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Kwara United playing in Ondo were out played by the high flying Oluyole Warriors and conceded a late goal through Joshua Akpan late in the regular second half.
The win turned out to be their second straight win after four league games without a win.
“It is a good thing that we won today (Sunday) but that is not to say we are there yet. We will keep on pushing to get to that level we are aiming,” Ogunbote told the club’s media.
“The important thing is that we are winning after a winless run and we are not ready to take our feet off the pedal,” said the manager who hailed his players for keeping their heads high despite the winless run.
Shooting Stars will welcome wounded Remo Stars to the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, this weekend on matchday 13 of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
