Three time African champions, Nigeria in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Squirrels of Benin have landed in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
After playing a 1-1 draw against Bafana Bafana of South Africa on Friday, Nigeria now go away to play Benin Republic in Côte d’Ivoire.
Super Eagles will face former trainer, coach Genot Rohr whose team currently sit third in Group C, two places above Nigeria after three games.
Upon landing in Cote d’Ivoire, a memorable place for the Eagles, the team on its official X platform posted a video of their onboarding with the caption “Touchdown Abidjan!”
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be hoping the capital city, Abidjan bring them lucky and their first win in the qualifiers after their runners up experience at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier in February.
