Next week, African nations will resume their journey to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Match Day 3 and Match Day 4 of the qualifiers are scheduled between June 5th and June 11th, 2024 as revealed by CAF and FIFA, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Nine African teams are guaranteed spots at the World Cup, with one more team entering the Play-off Tournament, as the tournament will feature 48 teams for the first time.
Group winners will secure automatic qualification, while the four best runners-up will compete in a CAF Play-Off tournament.
The victor of the CAF Play-Off Tournament will advance to the FIFA Play-off Tournament.
