The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria outclassed host Black Starlets of Ghana in the opening fixture of the 2022 WAFU B U17 tournament, Nigeriasoccernet can report.
In the match played at the Cape Coast stadium, the Eaglets got the better of their host and were 3-0 up before the Starlets could pull one back.
The Nigerians got their 3 goals advantage back again towards the end of the game but conceded an unnecessary penalty which was well converted by the Ghanaians to leave the final scores at 4-2.
Host, Black Starlets now have to beat Togo if they are to pick up one of the semifinals ticket.
