The victory marked a significant milestone for the Super Falcons, securing their spot in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Ihezuo credited her teammates for their pivotal role in the win, highlighting the team's collective effort and determination in overcoming a determined Botswana side.
"I feel super excited for today’s victory all thanks to God and my teammates,” she said after the game as par Dailypost.
The goal happened to be Ihezuo's second in the tournament after scoring the last of Nigeria's 3-0 win over Tunisia.
