Hearts of Oak were beaten by Wa All Stars

Wa All Stars defeated Hearts of Oak 2-0 in their First Capital Plus Premier League Match day 18 tie played at the Wa Stadium on Wednesday.

Captain Abdul Ganiyu Ismail and Emmanuel Ocran scored to give All Stars a sweet revenge over the Phobians after they lost by a lone goal in the first round tie played at the Accra Stadium.

After Isaac Oduro’s untimely tackle in the box, All Stars were awarded a penalty in the 26th minute and skipper stepped up to give his side the opening goal of the game.

Though the rains affected the movement of the ball, Wa All Stars had the upper hand and managed to go into halftime with their solitary lead.

The Phobians however returned to the second half with an aim of finding the equalizer and perhaps grabbing a win.

But All Stars took advantage of a counter attack on the 89th minute to record their second goal of the day as Emmanuel Ocran chipped the ball past Tetteh Luggard in post for Hearts of Oak.

The result will see All Stars move to third on the league log while Hearts of Oak maintain their mid table status at 10th position.
