EA SPORTS have picked out Nigeria and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen for their 100-strong shortlist of the best players from the past 12 months.
He is the only Nigerian on the list after his impressive performance in the year under consideration.
In 2022, the former Lille man scored 19 goals and 7 assists while playing for Napoli in 33 appearances, a year that saw him take the player of the month award in March.
The 24-year-old's exploits is also seen in the Super Eagles of Nigeria where emerged the highest goal scorer in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The striker's category has 31 players with the likes of PSG trio; Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Junior, Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, Harry Kane, Olivier Giroud amongst others.
The voting window is open now and closes on Monday 16 January at 7.59am UK time, with the results expected to be announced on Thursday 19 January.
The final XI will be decided by the fans.
