Nigeria International Victor Osimhen is working hard on his fitness off the pitch to get on the pitch for his Italian Serie A side Napoli.
The Super Eagles forward sustained an injury in a thrilling UEFA Champions League group stage match against the Reds of Liverpool on Wednesday, 7th September 2022.
The 23 year old played just 41 minutes in the Diego Armando Maradona stadium but the Azurri humiliated Liverpool 4-1 on the night.
The former LOSC Lille man has been sidelined ever since and was not present in the Super Eagles camp during the course of the International break when they drew 2-2 to local based Algeria side and lost 2-1 to the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
The Napoli forward trained with his Azurri teammates in preparation for the Serie A clash against Torino, but trained separately, away from the rest of the group.
sscnapoli.it reported that Victor Osimhen and Politano did therapies and personalized training on the pitch meaning the Nigerian might not feature against Torino at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Osimhen might also not be utilized against Ajax in the Johan Cruyff Arena as Luciano Spalletti wants his target man to recover properly.
