On loan Wolfsburg striker Victor Osimhen proved his goal scoring prowess with another goal for his loan side Charleroi in their 1-2 loss to fellow Belgium top division side Gent

Osimhen who fired a brace in their last league game against Zulte-Waregem took his goal tally for the season to five in seven games by drawing Charleroi level in the 42nd minute as both teams head into the dressing room level at 1-1.

Giorgi Chakvetadze struck was ended as the winner for Gent, who had out of favour Super Eagles midfielder Anderson Esiti on for the entire duration of the game while Taiwo Awoniyi was introduced with ten minutes left to play in the game.

This season Osimhen now has six goals in all competitions, a sign of a return to the form that made Wolfsburg splash big to sign him after his exploits for Nigeria at the 2015 U17 World Youth Championship, where he emerged as top scorer.

As reported by Owngoalnigeria.com earlier, Charleroi agreed a fee of £3.5m as transfer fee with Wolfsburg at the end of his loan spell next summer and his form will no doubt see them trigger the clause when the season ends.
