The Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated host Poland in a pre World Cup friendly by a lone goal courtesy of a well taken penalty from Chelsea ace Victor Moses one minute after the hour mark.

Poland created better chances with star man Robert Lewandoski looking menacing in attack for the Poles, with one of his efforts in the first half coming off the post.

In the second half he came close to scoring again but a big save from goalkeeper Francis Uzoho denied him, minutes ?before Nigeria were awarded a penalty for a foul on Victor Moses in the box of Poland.

Moses dribbled his way into the box of the Poles, and his twinkle toes drew a foul from the Poles although replays shows that the contact was minimal, the forward picked himself up to bury the spot kick for what ended as the only goal of the game.

Nigeria will take on Serbia on Tuesday in London as coach Gernot Rohr continue to build his squad ahead of Nigeria’s campaign at the 2018 World Cup in Russia in June, where they are grouped with Iceland, Croatia and Argentina.
