Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has praised the footballing philosophy of head coach Andoni Iraola before Sunday’s meeting with Arsenal at Anfield.
Iraola has placed greater emphasis on high pressing this season, a different approach from the more measured possession-based style preferred by the team under Arne Slot.
Van Dijk believes the match with Arsenal will provide a significant tactical challenge and says Liverpool must be ready to adjust to the demands of the game.
“You need to be able to adapt it’s part of our job,” said the Liverpool captain.
Liverpool go into the fixture fourth in the table, with Arsenal occupying second place. The sides are separated by six points.
