Valencia Confident of Umar Sadiq Loan Deal Despite Girona Links

Valencia remain confident of re-signing Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq, despite talk of a possible move involving Girona and Real Sociedad.

The Nigerian striker has already made his intentions clear to Valencia, stressing his “strong desire to return”, and the club is fully counting on him.

Reports in Spain suggest Real Sociedad are open to a swap arrangement with Girona linked to Yangel Herrera, but they cannot move forward without Sadiq’s approval.

For now, the lanky forward has “decisively dismissed any notion of moving to Girona.”

Valencia has tabled a €500,000 one-year loan proposal, which also includes covering the player’s full salary, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Although Sociedad prefer a permanent transfer instead of a loan, Valencia are optimistic that their persistence will eventually secure Sadiq’s return.

The deal is seen as a priority for Valencia ahead of the new LaLiga campaign.
