Hearts General Manager Gerald Ankrah has denied claims they in talks with Tony Lokko and Tom Strand for the vacant coaching role.

The Accra side are without a substantive coach following the departure of Herbert Addo.

The side has endured a difficult spell this season, culminating in their exit from the CAF Confederation Cup and the domestic FA Cup.

Ex-Berekum Chelsea trainer Tony Lokko has been strongly linked with a move to the club while Tom Strand is also being courted by top officials.

But under-fire club’s chief Gerald Ankrah claims they have not started planning for life without their departing trainer.

“We have not contacted anybody or promised anybody the Hearts job. In bringing on new hands, the Board needs to do a thorough work and the Board has identified that,” he told the club’s official newspaper

“The Board is going out there to look at a series of coaches and then they will decide who to appoint as the next substantive coach of Hearts of Oak.”

The club has appointed goalkeepers’ trainer Edward Ansah in an interim capacity.
