Umar Sadiq strike earns vital home point for Valencia CF

Getting on the scoresheet since his move from Real Sociedad, Umar Sadiq's 83rd minute goal was enough for Valencia CF to share the spoils with Villarreal CF in the regional La Liga derby just right in front of their home fans at the Estadio de La Cerámica, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The visitors who had taken the lead through Pape Gueye who converted clinically from their first cut clear chance of the encounter just before the hour break will be gnashing their teeth after falling in the closing minutes of the goal to substitute Umar's rebound goal despite pulling up a great performance.

The Super Eagles forward was introduced in the 55th minute alongside Ivan Jaime as the coach looks to turn the tide around and it did worked out to be a good decision after he slotted home the equalizer to save face at home.

Umar would be hoping for a starting spot in Carlos Corberán XI when next they play title contenders Atletico Madrid at the Mestalla following his brief but impactful substitute appearance.
