Nigeria duo of Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella have secured the semifinal berth with Bayer Leverkusen as after playing a 1-1 draw with West Ham in London on Thursday night, and 3-1 on aggregate, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
Nathan Tella maintained his place in starting 11 as did over the weekend but played just for 45 minutes in London before making way for Jeremy Frimpong at the start of the second half.
Boniface meanwhile was dropped to the bench for Patrik Schick but was immediately called upon at the start of the second half as Leverkusen were trailing by a lone goal. His introduction along others helped reduced the pressure from the host with Leverkusen posing more treats attack wise than they did in the first half where they fell behind to Antonio's goal.
Nathan's replacement, Frimpong scored in the 89th minutes to kill off West Ham's hope of a comeback and also preserves Bayer Leverkusen's unbeaten run which is now 44 in all competition this season.
They play Dortmund on Sunday at the Signal Iduna Park.
